Hi All,
After months of planning, it is hard to believe we will be kicking off "25 Days of Service" this Friday evening. The final count is that 59 student groups will join together to perform 29 service projects on 25 days. To think that until early December, all of this was just an idea. Thanks to the participation, enthusiam and will to serve of Georgetown's student groups, that idea has become a reality. And to the thousands of people on campus and across the District who will be affected by Georgetown students' month of service, the idea will be that much more tangible.
The "25 Days" Steering Committee welcomes all Georgetown students to our Kick-Off Reception. Dr. Porterfield graciously agreed to host the reception, to be held this Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Old North 205. The first students to arrive will receive free "25 Days" t-shirts, and will be treated to refreshments and thoughts on service.
