The Lecture Fund and Midnight Mug joined forced on Friday, doing a service project at Bread for the City.

The Lecture Fund sent in the following description of the project:
Members from Lecture Fund and Midnight Mug took a CSJ van over to Bread for the City, a DC-based organization whose mission is to "provide vulnerable residents of Washington, DC, with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect."
The students volunteered from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon- stuffed envelopes and sent out mailings for the organization's upcoming fundraising gala, Art with a Heart, taking place on April 2nd at the Renaissance Hotel (for more information, see http://www.breadforthecity.org/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?pid=256&srcid=183)
Cool fact: the Lecture Fund/Midnight Mug volunteers brought Bread for the City's total number of volunteers for the current fiscal year to exactly 1,000 people in total.
