
On February 8th, Club Filipino and Student Movement for Real Changes collaborated in a way that demonstrates the strengths and mission of both groups, and benefiting a classroom of D.C. schoolchildren at Hyde Elementary School on O Street.
Club Filipino volunteers lead two activities: the first taught kids how to make parols (star-shaped lanterns usually hung during the Christmas season); the second was called "Pusa at Aso" (Cat and Dog), a playground game. In another group, Joining Hands volunteers made postcards for their pen pals in South Africa
