"25 Days" - 2009!

Hey Georgetown, HOW LONG'S IT BEEN?

Almost 10 months, in fact, since the end of 25 Days of Service in February 2008. If you didn't hear, between February 1st and February 25th nearly 60 student groups partnered in 27 different community service project lasting the entire month. See previous posts on this blog for narratives and pictures of the Georgetown student body's impact on D.C.

And we're back. The 25 Days Steering Committee met over the past week and is launching the campaign for February 1st - 25th, 2009. At the 25 Days Kickoff Event, Dr. Dan Porterfield envisioned us coming back to Georgetown in 40 years, and said he expected 25 Days to be continuing then. Well, at Year 2, we're 5% there!

If you would like more information on how you or your student organization can get involved this year, please email info.25days@gmail.com for a prompt response. We will also be holding the first of many interest meetings for individuals and groups November 24 at 9:30pm in White-Gravenor 201. Look out for more interest meetings in the future as we build the list of groups involved.
