On February 22nd, members from the student organizations THUGS, GUSA, and BSA met at Village C Alumni Lounge to make thank you cards for veterans, both retired and those injured on the line of duty. Because of an increase interest in the project, the three clubs agreed on having this event ongoing through the week and plan on delivering the cards to a veterans hospital this weekend. While participating in the event, club members from these 3 organizations used the time to discuss and learn more about the goals and objectives about their respective clubs. We discussed the importance of having distinct organizations work together to put on an event for 25 Days that not just effectively demonstrates the Georgetown ideal of "men and women for others", but also reflects an individual's commitment to the community off-campus. Thanks to this event, these clubs also look foward to working with each other once again in the future to co-sponsor similar events on and off-campus.
