On February 8th, GU Women of Color and GU College Democrats teamed up to make Valentine's Day cards for patients at the Georgetown University Hospital. Armed with scissors, glue, and plenty of glitter to go around, we spent our Sunday afternoon together in the hopes of brightening the day of sick patients. We all had a lot of fun getting to know each other as a combined group while listening to music and joking about our varying levels of arts & crafts skills. Once the cards were made, a group of us had the chance to personally deliver the cards and visit with the patients in the hospital. It was great see how such a small thing could brighten their day. As a whole, our 25 Days of Service project was a great opportunity to give back and have the chance to get to know another group on campus.
